Escape to our secluded home, with its private and serene setting, in the town of Tombstone. Location: Tombstone, Arizona U.S.A. (Just off of Arizona 80) Accommodations: Historic home with three bedrooms, den/fourth bedroom with futon , two baths, living room, dining room, kitchen, covered front porch, screened-in Arizona Room (back porch), and patio. Sleeps 6 - 8. Welcome to our charming home. Open year-round, you will find it has everything to offer, just bring your clothes, and food. We even supply some of that, like coffee, tea, condiments and some pantry items. Our home is just a five minute walk to the Historic District of Allen Street in Tombstone. Be sure to visit the O.K. Corral and see a re-enactment of the legendary gunfight between Wyatt, Virgil, and Morgan Earp and Doc Holliday and the Clanton and McClaurey brothers. Have lunch at Big Nose Kate's Saloon, tour the Bird Cage Theatre, take a stagecoach or covered wagon ride through town, see the world's largest rose tree (listed in the Guiness Book of World Records), visit Boot Hill Cemetery, view an old-time, western shoot-out re-enactment at Helldorado Town. You will see people roaming the streets in period dress as Cowboys, Gunslingers, Marshals, saloon girls, and other townspeople of Tombstone's famous past. You can join in by renting period costumes at local vendors, if you wish. Have your picture taken at one of many stores dressed in your favorite old west costume. Shop right on historic Allen Street and get souvenirs of the Wild West. You could also take a jeep tour and see the spectacular mountain views. If you don't mind staying up a little late, take the Tombstone Spirit Walk, starting at 11:00 p.m. and get a different view of the "Town Too Tough to Die". Take a drive one day and see the many ghost towns throughout the area. Drive about 20 minutes outside of downtown Tombstone and see a one-of-a-kind place - "Rattlesnake Crafts". The owners were featured on the Today Show. You will never see another "store" like this! If you're in town for one of the re-enactment events or for the monthly Cowboy Action Shooting events, your group (6 - 8) can all stay together in a historic home that fits right in with your event. Visit the Tombstone Ghost Riders or the Tombstone Buscaderos through their website links below. Take a short drive towards Tucson and see the beautiful Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Colossal Cave, Saquaro National Park or Old Tucson Studios - site of many of the famous Western movies. Head south and visit Douglas or Nogales, Arizona, or Mexico. Visit Sierra Vista (20 minute drive), considered to be the bird watching capital of North America. Enjoy a short drive to the wildlife refuge in McNeal, AZ, which is the Winter home of the Sandhill Cranes. Tour the copper mines of Bisbee and shop at the numerous antiques shops and art galleries. Enjoy the privacy of your own fenced in yard, cacti garden and patio. Watch for the many birds that come to the pomegranate and Chinaberry trees and other plants in the gardens. Savor the fragrance of the large, beautiful rose tree right outside the porch. We offer all modern conveniences, except dishwasher, at this historic home. We provide board games, cards, checkers, puzzles, children's books,and novels There is also a charcoal grill outside for your enjoyment. Relax and have supper on your screened-in back porch or on the patio, with a fire going in the chimenea. PETS ALLOWED WITH PRIOR APPROVAL AND ADDITIONAL FEE ($10.00 per day or $50.00 per week). ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING INSIDE, PLEASE. YOU ARE WELCOME TO SMOKE OUTSIDE THE HOME! We hope you make many wonderful memories at The Tombstone Home! Rates and Fees (in US Dollars): POSTED 4/2/08 - 2008 SUMMER SPECIAL - $100.00 PER NIGHT / $600.00 PER WEEK November 1 - March 31 - $130.00 per night / $675.00 per week April 1 - October 31 - $130.00 per night / $650.00 per week Monthly Rate of $1950.00 Available during months of June, July, and August only. $10.00 / person additional fee for more than 8 guests Special event weekends - $150.00 per night Helldorado weekend - $175.00 per night Plus 11.5% Lodging Tax (Arizona, Cochise Co. & Tombstone, for stays less than 30 days) There is a $50.00 cleaning fee for 1 - 5 guests, $65.00 for 6 - 8 guests, $80.00 for 9 or more guests) Minimum two night stay.
